        The District SCHEDULED CASTES SERVICE COOP. SOCIETY LTD., SPSR Nellore was set up in the year 1974.

Objectives

The main objectives of the district society are :

• To provide financial assistance for creation of income generating assets to the poor Scheduled Castes households for their Socio & Economic Development.
• To offer training programmers for skill up–gradation leading to self/ wage employment.
• To plug critical gaps of finance in economic support schemes.

• The Dist.Sc.Sc.Society Ltd.,Nellore has been taking up economic support schemes which include Purchase of Agricultural Lands, Drilling of Bore Wells in SC land holds, Pumpsets, Milch Animals, Energization of Minor Irrigation Schemes, Schemes under ISB Sector and various training programmes and special emphasis is on vulnerable sections like Flayers & Tanners, Bonded Labour, Jogins.
• All the schemes are implemented with bank loan tie up from the banks and directly by the District Sc.Sc.Society and in convergence with line Departments.
• Self Employment Schemes with loan under Non-Bank linked sector from the Apex Corporations i.e., National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC ) & National Safai Karamcharis Finance and Development Corporation (NSKFDC), New Delhi are implemented.
