a) PROFILE

The Civil Supplies Corporation was originally only a regulatory Corporation. Subsequently, its activities have been diversified to include purchase of Paddy through PPCs for custom Milling Rice, distribution of essential commodities Rice, Wheat, Sugar, P.Oil and Redgram dal PDS through Fair Price Shops under the Public Distribution System at subsidized rates through ePoS cum Electronic weighing machines who are having computerized BPL Ration cards (i.e. White, AAY and Annapurna), distribution of LPG connections to BPL women (Deepam Scheme) through LPG Agencies.

The APSCSCL is distributing essential commodities under Public Distribution System through 11 Mandal Level Stock Points in the district to 1513 of FP. Shops, 733520 No. of BPL cardholders.

1. PDS (Public Distribution System):

2.ICDS / THR(Take Home Ration):

The following commodities are distributing to Children below 6 years under Integrated Child Development services (ICDS)/THR through 11 MLS Points to AWCs and also distributed to Pregnant women, Lactating Mothers at their door steps.

3.MDM:

Fortified Rice, Jaggery & Ragi Powder supplied to the Schools, Inter colleges and Akshaya Patra Foundations.

4. Hostels:

As per the H.O allotment Rice is distributed to the welfare hostels through Stage- II movement in the district.

5.PADDY PROCUREMENT:

The APSCSCL is procuring paddy from farmers under Minimum Support Price (MSP) by opening Paddy Purchase Centres (PPCs) through PACSs, FPOs, AMCs and DCMS Agencies in the district. GLT (Gunny, Labour & Transport) are also provided by APSCSCL. The Corporation is getting Custom Milling Rice (CMR) from the paddy procured and utilizing the same for PDS and other Welfare schemes.

5. MS / HSD OUTLET & LPG OUTLET :

The APSCSCL, SPSR Nellore has been running two LPG Outlets
1) IOC LPG, Nawabpeta, Nellore,
2) HPCL, Chittalur, Chejarla Mandal
And also maintained one HPCL, Petrol & Diesel Outlet at Kothuru, Nellore Mandal.

6. SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT :

The Supply Chain Management is a Government of India Programme and the above programme has been implemented in 11 Mandal Level Stockist points functioning in SPSR Nellore District covering 38 Mandals and 1513 Fair Price Shops.

• Fair Price Shop wise RO’s generating and truck chit dispatching through Supply Chain Management System (SCM) only

7. GPS: Vehicle Tracking System

•  M/S TRANS GLOBAL GEOMATICS have installed GPS devices to 15 vehicles under Stage-I and 41 vehicles under Stage-II in SPSR Nellore district. Detachable magnetic GPS devices are purchased recently to install on any vehicle on emergency basis.
•  The routes of all vehicles are geo-fenced and SMS Alerts will be generated and sent to all the concerned officials, if any deviation is noticed in transport of Essential Commodities
