AP MEDICAL SERVICES & INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
a) DEPARTMENT PROFILE:
The A.P. Health, Medical Housing and Infrastructure Development Corporation (APHMHIDC)is Registered under A.P. Public Societies Act 1930 in the year 1984. The main functions of the Corporation are Construction & Maintenance of Hospital Buildings. Further, the Procurement and distribution of Drugs, Surgical & Consumables and Equipment are also entrusted to this Corporation by the Government (Medical and Health Department). Subsequently, the nomenclature of the Corporation changed to A.P. Medical Services & Infrastructure Development Corporation (APMSIDC).
The Corporation is headed by the Chairman and consists of Managing Director along with the Chief Engineer Headquarters at Mangalagiri and 7 Circles headed by Superintending Engineers, 13 Divisions headed by Executive Engineers spread over in the State, one Division in each District. Central Drug store is located in each District headquarters managed by the Executive Engineer and assisted by 2 or 3 Pharmacists for distribution of Drugs etc., to various Hospitals in the District.
In SPSR Nellore District, APMSIDC Division, Nellore is headed by the Executive Engineer and Managing the Central Medicine Store, Nellorefunctioning with the staff mentioned in the Organization Chart.

d)ACTIVITIES :
APMSIDC Division, Nellore is responsible for the following activities:
1. Construction and Maintenance of Hospital Buildings:
APMSIDC Division, Nellore is responsible for the construction and maintenance of Hospital buildings in SPSR Nellore District.
2. Procurement, Storage and Distribution of Drugs through Central Medicine Store :
Procurement, Storage and Distribution of Medicines required for all Health institutions in SPSR Nellore District is being done through the Central Medicine Store, Nellore under the control of the Executive Engineer, APMSIDC Division, Nellore.
3. Execution of Civil Works:
APMSIDC Division, Nellore executes Civil works such as the construction of Polytechnic / I.T.I. College Buildings, Residential School Complexes, Hostel buildings, and other Educational infrastructure facilities in SPSR Nellore District.
These activities are aimed at improving the Healthcare and Educational infrastructure in SPSR Nellore District.
