GOVERNMENT TEXT BOOKS

a) DEPARTMENT PROFILE :

The Department of Text Book Press is concerned with Printing and supply of Government Text Books to Schools. The Department of Govt Text Book Press is part of the School Education Department of Andhra Pradesh. The Commissioner of School Education is the head of the School Education Department. There is a separate Director for A P Government Text Book Press located its head quarters at Guntur.

There are 13 District Offices at each District Head Quarters for storage and distribution of Government Text books to schools, through the Mandal Educational Officers of concerned. These offices are called as District Government Text Books Sales Offices.

Printing of National Government Text Books of 1 to 10 Classes of all Media and Distribution of Text Books to MEOs and Schools as per the Text Book indent given by the DEO, Nellore.

Action Plan:

1. All Head Masters and MEOs raises Text Books indent in CSE website for printing and supply of text books schoolwise for all students as per child info of students studying in all Government / Municipality / ZillaParishad/ Mandal Parishad and Government Aided Schools for every academic year in advance of 6 months.
2. The DEO of Concerned District approve and Submit district Consolidation indent of Text Books through on line in CSE web site to the Commissioner of School Education, Andra Pradesh towards printing and supply of Text Books.
3. The Commissioner of School Education, Consolidates the text books indents of all Districts and prepare State Indent of Text Books and obtain approval of Government for every academic year and passes necessary orders to the Director of A.P Government Text Book Press for printing and distribution of text books to all Districts and schools as per the District Indents raised by the DEOs concerned.
4. On receipt of the instructions of the Commissioner, The Director, A.P Government Text Book Press, Guntur call for tenders for procurement to paper and call for tenders from various private printers for Printing and supply of Text Books to all Districts to the office of the District Government Text Books Sales Office of each and every District. The office of the Director of Text Books monitor the entire process of printing and distribution of text books up to school level.
5. On receipt of the Text Books from the Director, Text Book Press, the Manager and the staff of the Office the District Government Text Books Sales office distributes and supply the text books to MEOs of all Mandals as per the Mandal indent of text books through APSRTC logistics. The managers enters the data of receipts of text books from various printers and distribution of text books all MEOs title wise and date wise in online in CSE website.
6. On receipt of the Text books from the DTM Nellore all MEOs confirm the receipts of text books titles wise in CSE website and all MEOs distribute text books to all schools up to school point as per the School level Text Book indent through APSRTC to school point. MEOs also enter the data of receipts and distribution of text books to schoos title wise and date wise in online in CSE website.
7. On receipt of Text Books from the MEOs the Head Masters of the schools concernedconfirm the receipts of text books in CSE website and distribute the text books to all students in the schools. The Headmaster enters the data of distribution of text books to students in online in CSE website through Students App.
