PUBLIC HEALTH & MUNICIPAL ENGINEERING

a) PROFILE

The Superintending Engineer, Public Health Circle, Nellore is in charge of Plan, Investigation, Designs, and Execution of Water Supply, Sewerage, Storm Water Drainage, Traffic &Transportation Schemes in all the Municipalities in the SPSR Nellore, Prakasam&Chittoor Districts except Municipal Corporation, Nellore &Tirupati besides the Technical support including O&M for the 21 ULBs in the above three districts.

After completion, the Water Supply and Sewerage Schemes are being handed over to the concerned Municipal Corporations and Municipalities for operation and maintenance.
Periodical inspection of all ULBs to guide and support for services maintained in 21 Urban Local Bodies of Chittoor, SPSR Nellore &Prasakam Districts.

PH & ME Department offers the following services to the ULBs :

• Approval of designs of Municipal works.
• Technical sanction to estimates up to Rs.200.00 Lakhs.
• Technical opinion to the Municipalities in finalization of tenders.
• Check measurement of works executed by the Municipal Engineers grade II & III.
• Periodical inspection of water supply and sewerage schemes maintained by Municipality.
• Approval of Bye-laws for water supply in Urban Local Bodies.

OUR VISION

  1. To provide water supply as per CPHEEO norms (135LPCD) in all the ULBs
  2. To provide scientific disposal and treatment of waste water in all the ULBs
  3. To develop sustainable urban infrastructure to improve Municipal Service Delivery System

I. HUDCO

COMPREHENSIVE NELLORE WATER SUPPLY IMPROVEMENT SCHEME WITH SANGAM ANICUT AS SOURCE WITH HUDCO LOAN ASSISTANCE

  1. Estimate Cost :Rs. 556.77 Cr.
  2. Admn.Sanction–G.O.Ms.No.272MA&UD Dt:18-12-15 for Rs.556.77 Cr.
  3. Agency : M/s. Megha Engineering & Infrastructure Pvt., Ltd., JV with RVRPL
  4. 99% of work completed and Water being supplied to the Existing tanks in Nellore City.

 

NELLORE UNDERGROUND DRAINAGE WITH HUDCO LOAN ASSISSTANCE

  1. Estimate Cost :Rs. 580.85 Cr.
  2. Admn. Sanction:GO.Ms.No.819MA&UD Dt:28-12-15 for Rs.580.85Cr.
  3. Agency : M/s. Larsen & Toubro Ltd., Chennai
  4. 85% of work completed.

Administratively sanctioned vide G.O.Ms.No.323 MA&UD(UBS) Dept., Dt: 29-08-2017 for Rs.59.30 Crores.

Completed 75% of work and balance work is in progress

Sewerage / Septage Management Scheme in Kavali Municipalityunder AMRUT:

Administratively sanctioned vide G.O. Ms. No.82 MA & UD (UBS) Department, Dt.03-03-2017 for Rs.29.11 Crores.
Completed 70% of work and balance work is in progress

III. ASIAN INSFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENT BANK (AIIB)

Water supply distribution system in merged villages of Nellore Municipal Corporation with AIIB Funding :

  1. Administrative Sanction vide G.O.Ms.No.260 MA&UD (UH) Department Dt:07-08-2018 for Rs.114.19 Crores.
  2. Contracting Agency : M/s.Haricons Joint Venture with GPR Infra 
  3. Survey, Investigation, Designs is in finishing stage

 

Naidupet Nagar Panchayat Water Supply Improvement Scheme with AIIB Funding
