a) PROFILE
The Zilla Sainik Welfare Office, Spsr Nellore is an unique Organization looking after all the welfare of both Ex. Servicemen and Serving Soldier of three Forces of Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force including IInd World War Veterans and Widows of IInd World War Veterans. However, the Para Military Forces such as BSF, CRPF, ITBP, GREF, CISF etc., are not covered under the purview of Zilla Sainik Welfare Office.
B. ORGANIZATION CHART
FUNCTIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT:
- The main functions of the ZillaSainik Welfare Office, SPSR Nellore are as under
Promoting measures of Welfare & Re-settlement of Ex-servicemen and families of Serving and deceased Armed Forces Personnel. - Registration of Employment and Ex.servicemen Identity Card to Discharged Serving Personnel.
- Acting as an intermediary between the Army Units and Ex.servicemen/widows for resolving the grievances of Exsm, widows and their dependents.
- Providing the benefits to EXSM, Widows and their dependents as extended by the State/Central Government.
- All other welfare measures from time to time
ADMINISTATION:
The office of the ZillaSainik Welfare, SPSR Nellore is functioning under Non-Plan with Administrative control of District Collector & Chairman Sainik Board at District level, Director Sainik Welfare (Home Department) at State level, and KendriyaSainik Board (Ministry of Defence) at central level.
