a) PROFILE

The Civil Supplies Department was originally only a regulatory Department. Subsequently, its activities have been diversified to include Vigilance and Monitoring PPC Centres for CMR distribution of essential commodities viz. Rice, Wheat, Sugar, Palmolive Oil and Red gram dal through Fair Price Shops under the Public Distribution System at subsidized rates through ePoS cum Electronic weighing machines to the computerized BPL Ration cards (i.e. White and AAY), consumer affairs, monitoring of prices of essential commodities, distribution of LPG connections to BPL women (Deepam Scheme) through LPG Agencies.

2. Anthyodaya Anna YojanaScheme :- Rice distribution to to AAY cardholders @ 35 Kgs of Rice per card at free of cost

3. Lifting of Essential Commodities through MLS Points to various Govt Educational Institutions,Anganwadies, Welfare Hostels etc.,

4. Deepam Scheme Monitoring the implementation of Deepam Scheme.

5. Grant of B Form Licences to MS & HSD outsets and LPG Agencies.

6. Appointment of F.P.Shop Dealers.
