Sri Rajarajeshwari worshipers, Sri Rajarajeshwari Peethadhis Sri Sri Sri Arul Jyoti Natarajamurthy Swami decided to establish an ashram at this place. Sri Swami’s Satsam Kalpa and Sri Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Mahaswami’s Tejoveekshana Mahatmya became the foundation of Muggurammala Moolaputamma in 1968 with the grace of Sri Raja Rajeshwari Ammavari The founding ceremony was held in a grand manner.

Since that day, Shri Ammavaru has been enjoying daily services as the adoration deity of the devotees and has been shining in gold and blessing the devotees.
Sri Rajarajeshwari Ammavari Devasthanam, the then Nellore District Collector Sri Sankaram gave 1.00 Ya. Next in 1968 In Kanchi Kamakoti Peethadhiphas Sri Sri Sri Chandrasekhar Saraswati Swamula was crowned with the divine golden hands. On 06.03.1975, Kumbhabhishekam was performed by the Kanchikamakoti Peethadhis Sri Sri Sri Jayendra Sarvaswathi Swamula and the Sringeri Peethadhis. The temple was built under the patronage of Swargiya Ratnaswami Modiliar through his funds and donations from devotees. This temple is 48 years old It has been completed for 49 years. This devasthanam has sub-temples in its premises as Sri Gayatri Ammavari Devasthanam, Sri Sundareswara Swami Vari Devasthanam, and Navagraha Mandapams.
