Sri Vengamamba Perantalu Ammavari Temple, Narrawada
History of temple:-
This Narrawada village is famous for its good quality heifers and great cows. It is located in Duttalur Mandal near Udayagiri. When compared to surrounding villages, It is a very big city. There is a temple of Ammavari in the middle of this town. There are three villages in the vicinity: Ulavavaripalem, Gudevaripalem and Vaddipalem. These three villages are together in Narrawada. The Vengamamba temple at Narrawada, at the junction of these four villages, is a temple of great glory and auspicious for lakhs of devotees.
16th century During the days of Sri Krishna Devaraya ruling the southern country; Vengamamba Perantalu was born to Pachava Vengamanaidu and Sayamma Punya of Vaddipalem by the grace of Renukadevi. She showed her glories to the devotees as a great deity born with the elements of Shri Gauri – Shri Daksayani – Shri Sati Devi, who is the embodiment of the Trishakti.
