Standing upright as Lord Narasimha, this 350 feet high kshetra is the most beautiful and holy place, and Sage Pungavu considered it as Tirdha Kshetra. 10 km west of Simhapuri (Nellore) town, on the southern bank of the sacred Pinakini river, the glory of Sri Vedagiri Lakshmi Narasimha swamy, who radiates beauty and joy, is spread. The seven sages gave it as a tribute to Sri Swami Sri Kasyapa in Yagantam while performing the sacrifices Maharishi has Sri Swami Vaishaka Shuddha in home interior. At the place where Sapta Maharshi performed Yaga, there are still seven corners of Maharshi Tirdha today.Shri Govindaraja Swamy, who was glorified by Shrimannarayana at the beginning of the Yaga, is still present at Koneru Theerdhams. “Fifteen hundred years ago, it was built in the shape of a lion by the Pallava kings and it is known as the place where all the arts of life flourish in Nrisimhakshetra”. At a distance of 500 meters from the temple, there are tirdhas named after the seven sages in the thick forest area, which are now known as Seven Corners. After the darshan of Pidapa Govindaraja Swami, Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swami would have darshan of them.
