A. PROFILE

Role and Functionality of Dept.

The Labour Department was originally onlyenforcement Department. Now turned to Labour Welfare Department. Its activities have been welfare of workers in shops & Establishments, Factories, Building Workers,Transport and others etc., by way implementation of Welfare Schemes, Compensation to deceased employee and injured employees, as per Employee Compensation Act, Payment of Wages, Payment of bonus, Minimum Wages workers etc.,the following Acts being implemented by Labour Department as per G.O.Ms.No.33. The Labour Department conducts inspection of all establishments as per the allotment given in the inspection portal as per the norms of EODB.

1. Legal Services

Quasi-Judicial Authority Courts will be conducted at the level of Asst.Commissioner of Labour, Nellore and Gudur.

The Deputy Commissioner of Labour is a designated conciliation officer under I.D.Act and Authority Court Appellant at the District Level. All Authority Courts conduct under Minimum Wages Act, Payment of Wages Act, W.C.Act and above all

C. SCHEMES/ACTIVITIES/ACTION PLAN

I. For the workers of Organized Sector :

A.P.Labour Welfare Fund Board. Vijayawada

a) The following Welfare Schemes are sanctioned online process those are only covered beneficiaries ofAPLWF Board and also not covered under Praja Sadhikara Survey and not able toget Chandranna Bima benefits. The following Schemes are merged with Chandranna bima

1. Accidental Death Scheme – Rs.5,00,000/-

2. Natural Death Scheme-Rs.20,000/-

3. Funeral Expenses Scheme-Rs.10,000/-

4. Marriage Gift Scheme –Rs.20,000/-

5. Financial Asst. for lossof limbs in accidentas per permanentdisabilityRs.2,50,000/-

b) The following schemes directly paid to the accounts of APLWF registered workers through Asst. Commissioner of Labour Nellore and Gudur without linking chandranna bima Benefits.

8. Maternity Benefit -Rs.20,000/-
9. Family Planning -Rs. 5,000/-

2. Un – Organized Working Sector:

A.P.Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Vijayawada.
All Schemes Claim Applications thoroughly scrutinized present before A.P.BOCW District Sanctioning Committee for Approvals every month. Submitted to A.P.B&OCWWB,Vijayawada

a) The following Welfare Schemes are sanctioned through DCC meeting those are only covered beneficiaries of APB&OCWW Board and also not covered under Praja Sadhikara Survey and not able to get Chandranna Bima benefits. The following Schemes are merged with Chandranna bima
1. Accidental Death – Rs.5,00,000/-
2. Permanent Disability – Upto Rs.5,00,000/-
3. Natural Death & Funeral Expenses – Rs.80,000/-
4. Marriage Gift- Rs.20,000/-
5. Un Registered Worker Accidental Death – Rs.50,000 /-

The following schemes directly paid to the Individual accounts of AP.BOCWWB registered workers. No linkage of Chandranna bima

6. Maternity Benefit Scheme Rs.20,000/- eligible Building Workers up to 2 daughters for each 2 deliveries.
7. Temporary Disability Scheme upto Rs. 9,000/-

Eligibility Criteria for Registration:

Monthly income to be Rs.15000 or less.

Age should be form 16-59 Years.

Should not be an income tax payee.

Should not be member of EPFO and ESIC.

1. Accidental Death – Rs.2,00,00/-
2. Permanent Disability – Upto Rs.2,00,00/-

PM – SYM

1. Government of India has introduced a pension scheme for unorganised workers to ensure old age protection.

2. The unorganised workers whose monthly income is Rs 15,000/ per month or less and belong to the entry agegroup of 18-40 years.

3. They should not be covered under New Pension Scheme (NPS), Employees’ State Insurance Corporation(ESIC) scheme or Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). Further, he/she should not be an incometax payer.

4. It is a voluntary and contributory pension scheme, under which the subscriber would receive the followingbenefits :

PM – NPS

1. He/she should not be an income tax payer, Annual Turnover with limit of one crore
fifty lakhs ( 1.50 Crores).
2. The entry agegroup of 18-40 years
3.He/she should not be contributor of EPF & ESI

(i) Monthly Premium should be from Rs.55/- to 200/- depends on the age of subscriber

(ii) Minimum Assured Pension: Each subscriber under the PM-SYM, shall receive minimum assuredpension of Rs 3000/- per month after attaining the age of 60 years.

(iii) An equal share of monthly premium will be deposit by the Central Government to the individual pension account.

(iv) Family Pension: During the receipt of pension, if the subscriber dies, the spouse of the beneficiary shallbe entitled to receive 50% of the pension received by the beneficiary as family pension. Family pension isapplicable only to spouse.

(v) If a beneficiary has given regular contribution and died due to any cause (before age of 60 years),his/her spouse will be entitled to join and continue the scheme subsequently by payment of regularcontribution or exit the scheme as per provisions of exit and withdrawal.
