LABOUR DEPARTMENT

a) DEPARTMENT PROFILE :

The Labour Department was originally only enforcement Department. Now turned to Labour Welfare Department. Its activities have been welfare of workers in shops & Establishments, Factories, Transport and others etc., such as implementation of Welfare Schemes, Compensation to deceased employee and injured employees, Payment of Wages, Payment of bonus, Minimum Wages workers etc., Below Acts being implemented by Labour Department on following G.O.Ms.No.33 and Ease of doing business (EODB) guidelines only doing inspections of given as per inspection portal. No Sunday holiday visits and night visits under A.P.Shops and Establishments Act 1986 as per instructions of Commissioner of Labour, A.P. Vijayawada.

1. Legal Services

Quasi-Judicial Authority Courts will be conducted at the level of Asst.Commissioner of Labour, Nellore and Gudur.

The Deputy Commissioner of Labour is a designated conciliation officer under I.D.Act and Authority Court Appllant at the District Level. All Authority Courts conduct under Minimum Wages Act, Payment of Wages Act, W.C.Act and above all

I. For the workers of Organized Sector :

A.P.Labour Welfare Fund Board. Vijayawada

• The following Welfare Schemes are sanctioned online process those are only covered beneficiaries of APLWF Board and also not covered under Praja Sadhikara Survey and not able to get Chandranna Bima benefits.( now YSR Bima ) The following Schemes are merged with Chandranna bima (now YSR Bima)

1. Accidental Death Scheme – Rs.5,00,000/- (Only those Registered A.P.Labour Welfare Fund beneficiaries Workers who were not covered by Praja Sadhikara Survey and unable to get Rs.5,00,000/- limit benefit under Chandranna Bima.) . ( now YSR Bima )
2. Natural Death Scheme-Rs.20,000/- (Only those Registered A.P.Labour Welfare Fund beneficiaries Workers who were not covered by Praja Sadhikara Survey and unable to get Rs. 20,000/- limit benefit under Chandranna Bima.)(now YSR Bima )
3. Funeral Expenses Scheme-Rs.10,000/- (Only those Registered A.P.Labour Welfare Fund beneficiaries Workers who were not covered by Praja Sadhikara Survey and unable to get Rs. 10,000/- limit benefit under Chandranna Bima.)( now YSR Bima )
4. Marriage Gift Scheme –Rs.20,000/- (Only those Registered A.P.Labour Welfare  Fund beneficiaries Workers who were not covered by Praja Sadhikara Survey and unable to get Rs. 20,000/- limit benefit under Chandranna Bima.)(now YSR Bima )
5. Financial Asst. for loss of limbs in accident as per parmenant disabilityRs.2,50,000/- (Only those Registered A.P.Labour Welfare Fund beneficiaries Workers who were not covered by Praja Sadhikara Survey and unable to get Rs. 2,50,000/- limit  benefit under Chandranna Bima.)( now YSR Bima ) 

• The following schemes directly paid to the accounts of APLWF registered workers through Asst. Commissioner of Labour Nellore and Gudur without linking chandranna bima (now YSR Bima) Benefits.

6. PHC Scholarships -Rs.10,000/-

8. Maternity Benefit -Rs.20,000/-

9. Family Planning -Rs. 5,000/-

All Schemes Claim Applications thoroughly scrutinized prasant before A.P.BOCW District Sanctioning Committee for Approvals every month. Submitted to A.P.B&OCWWB,Vijayawada

3. Natural Death & Funeral Expenses – Rs.80,000/-(Only those Registered Building Workers who were not covered by Praja Sadhikara Survey and unable to get Rs.80,000/- limit benefit under Chandranna Bima ) (now YSR Bima )
4. Marriage Gift- Rs.20,000/-(Only those Registered Building Workers who were not covered by Praja Sadhikara Survey and unable to get Rs.20,000/- limit benefit under Chandranna Pellikanuka from 18.04.2019) (now YSR Bima )
5. Scholarships- Rs.1200/-(Only those Registered Building Workers who were not covered by Praja Sadhikara Survey and unable to get Rs.1200/- limit benefit for 9th,10th Intermediate, ITI,

b). The following schemes directly paid to the Individual accounts of AP.BOCWWB registered workers. No linkage of Chandranna bima (YSR Bima)

• Maternity Benefit Scheme Rs.20’000/- eligible Building Workers up to 2 daughters for each 2 deliveries.
• Artificial limbs for Registered building workers who loss limbs in accident.
• Rs.5,000/- Scholarships for students of higher Education and children of Registered beneficiaries of A.P.Building and Other Construction Workers Board.
