a) DEPARTMENT PROFILE

The AP. State Minorities Finance Corporation Limited has been incorporated under the Companies Act – 1956, Established in the year 1985. The main objective is to assist the weaker section of Minorities viz; Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis and Jains for their socio-economic development in collaboration with Banks by providing Subsidy. The Source of funding for the corporation is from Government of Andhra Pradesh.

The Andhra Pradesh State Christian (Minorities) Finance Corporation has been formed in November, 2008. Executive Director, APS. Minorities Finance Corporation acts as Ex-Officio District Manager, of APS. Christian (Minorities) Finance Corporation.

Andhra Pradesh State Minorities Finance Corporation and APS.Christian (Minorities) Finance Corporation are implementing various programmes for the upliftment of Minorities belonging of Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs, Jains and Parsis. The District total population is 24,69,442. The Minorities population is 2,89,309 in SPSR Nellore District as per 2011 censes. (Muslims-2,64,886,Christians-21,373,Sikhs-588,Buddhists-168 & Jains-2,294)

CHEYUTHA SCHEME :

Cheyutha Scheme Provided Financial Assistance of Rs.75,000/- in four phases (in four years) i.e., Rs.18,750/- per year to the women belonging to SC, ST, BC and Minority communities who are in the age group of 45 – 60 years for their financial empowerment from the year 2020-21. With the coordination of Project Director, D.R.D.A., APS. Minorities Corporation implemented this Scheme.

Mobile Dispensing Unit (MDU Scheme) :

Government has introduced a Scheme to supply Four Wheeler Mini Truck Mobile Dispensing units under Self employment scheme for the year 2020-2021 for Door Delivery of Rice under PDS. The main objective is to provide financial assistance for creation of Income Generating Assets to the poor Minorities towards sustainable livelihood and economic upliftment.
