a) DEPARTMENT PROFILE

The AP. State Minorities Finance Corporation Limited has been incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 in the year 1985. The main objective is to assist the weaker section of Minorities viz; Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis and Jains for their socio-economic development in collaboration with Banks and Corporation provides Subsidy. The Source of funding for the corporate is from Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra Pradesh State Minorities Finance Corporation and APS.Christian Finance Corporation are implementing various programmes for the upliftment of Minorities belonging of Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs, Jains and Parsis. The District total population is 29,63,557. The Minorities population is 3,18,107 in SPSR Nellore District as per 2011 censes.(Muslims-2,88,378,Christians-26,202,Sikhs-678,Buddhists-239&Jains-2,610)

1) Bankable Scheme

Bank Linked Subsidy Scheme is being implemented for Minorities to Setup viable Self-Employment Scheme under ISB/Transport/ Agriculture & Allied Activities.

2) Training & Employment Programme

The Andhra Pradesh State Minorities Finance Corporation and APS. Christian Finance Corporation are focusing for up-gradation of skills among minority youth through providing free training. The youth of minorities are able to compete for jobs in the related industry and empower for their economic development.

3) Minorities Law Graduates Scheme

Minority Law Graduates to undergo Training in Administration of Justice for 3 Years. Selected candidates attaching to the Law Officers within the District.
