Nagara Vanam Park, Kothuru Centre

The project spans approximately 150 hectares of reserve forest, with the remaining land being provided by the Andhra Pradesh Forest Development Corporation (APFDC). The foundation stone for this initiative was laid on July 17, 2015, during the Vanamahotsavam, a festival dedicated to tree planting and environmental conservation.

On the route from Nellore to Podalakur, the Andhra Pradesh Forest Department has established a new park called Nellore Nagara Vanam.

The park is expansive, offering lush greenery, scenic viewpoints that overlook the entire area, recreational activities for children, adventure zones, a dedicated yoga park, and numerous spots perfect for photoshoots.

Though the park is still being developed, it is currently open to visitors only on Sundays, and entry is free of charge.

The park is located approximately 3.5 km from Kothuru, along the road from Nellore to Podalakur.
